After a trip to Sainsburys I stopped off at Hove on the way home 4.30pm to see if the wind was still blowing. It was, and Guy and Simon were just about to launch. The shorebreak and water state didn't look too inviting though so I chilled in the van with the cup final on the radio waiting for the tide to drop whilst G+S racked up the bottom turns. ;)

By the time the footy had finished (grrr Chelski jammy gits) contrary to forecasts it was still windy...sea breeze..huzzah! So I rigged the (brand new) 5.8 and had a much more enjoyable sail than this morning. Conditions were by no means epic but late sessions at Hove have something about them which is always good for the soul. A much smoother water state, pleasant evening sunshine, and Brighton sea front and piers as a back drop...all very relaxing. Then towards the end the wind picked up a smidge and the low tide ramps started to appear allowing some decent jumping to add a bit of spice to the session.

Glad I got out for session 2 after the disappointing earlier effort at Worthing.
